Tao Studio LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BiteMap mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it is kept, and how you can delete it.

1. Information the App Handles

1.1 Information You Provide

• Display Name: The name you enter when setting up the app. Your partner sees it on the marks you leave.
• Character: The character you pick to represent you.
• Mark Data: The kisses, bites, slaps and stickers you leave on your partner's character, where on the character you left them, and when.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Health or biometric data
• Photos or camera access
• Contacts
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers

There is no BiteMap account. We do not ask for your email address or phone number.

2. Where Your Data Is Kept

Until you connect with a partner, everything stays on your iPhone.

When you connect, the App stores your couple's data with Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), in your own iCloud account and your partner's, and shares it only between the two of you. We do not run a server that holds your marks, and we cannot read them.

To connect, the App briefly publishes a 6-character pairing code to iCloud so your partner's device can find yours. The code expires after 15 minutes and is removed once it has been used or replaced.

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies only on Apple services:

• iCloud (CloudKit): Stores and syncs your couple's data between your two devices, under Apple's privacy policy.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Delivers a notification when your partner leaves a mark.
• App Store (StoreKit): Handles in-app purchases. We do not see your payment details.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services in the App.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to anyone. Your name, character and marks are shared only with the partner you connect with.

5. Data Retention

Your data is kept for as long as you use the App. When you delete your data or leave your partner, it is removed from iCloud as described below.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: See all your data within the App.
• Deletion: Delete all your data from your iPhone and from iCloud.
• Opt-Out: Turn off notifications in your iPhone's settings.

How to Delete Your Data:

1. Open BiteMap
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Delete my data"
4. Confirm deletion

This erases your BiteMap data in iCloud and on your iPhone, disconnects you from your partner and starts the App over. "Leave your partner" ends the pairing and removes your marks from your shared data. Alternatively, email us at [email protected] with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

7. Children's Privacy

BiteMap is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Security

Your data is protected by iCloud's encryption in transit and at rest. Pairing codes expire after 15 minutes and cannot be reused.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
